The

MD. THAI Thi Ngoc Thuy, Head of the Department of Family Medicine. The audience
included undergraduate, graduate and resident students, as well as staff
members of CTUMP, with interest in the topic.
Opening the conference, Assoc. Prof. PhD. NGUYEN Van Lam, Vice Rector, gave the opening speech and shared about CTUMP's upcoming activities in support of international publication. The conference first covered an introduction of Can Tho Journal of Medicine and Pharmacy, presented by Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. NGUYEN Thi Ngoc Van. This journal, with ISSN 2354-1210, is published by Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy since 2015, and includes an English edition. Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. NGUYEN Thi Ngoc Van explained the supporting services that the University provides for English and/or international scientific publication.
Following, Ph.D. NGUYEN Thang presented a comparison between writing scientific articles for domestic and international journals. Specifically, Ph.D. NGUYEN Thang covered key points in the structure of an international scientific article, and how they differ from common guideline for domestic scientific articles. This speech is of vital importance to researchers, who wish to publish their work on an international journal.
At the end of the conference, the audience directed their questions and concerns to the reporters. By answering these inquiries, the reporters were able to further the topic and clarify previously unclear aspects.
Through the conference, the
University shown the support system designed to help students and lecturers
approach scientific publication. In each stage of the process, the University
accompanies researchers to ensure their works receive the highest chance of
publication on a suitable journal.
