On the afternoon of April 4, 2026, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) officially welcomed and held a working session with the delegation from IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems (Austria). The meeting took place in a formal and cordial atmosphere, opening up promising prospects for substantive collaboration between the two institutions.

Dr. Andreas Lichtenwörther – Head of Academic Affairs;
Prof. Markus Golla – Head of the Nursing Center.
From Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Lam – Vice Rector, along with representatives of university leadership and relevant departments.
Within the framework of the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on sustainable development strategies:
- Education and Research Collaboration: Exploring opportunities for joint scientific research projects and advanced professional exchanges among experts.
- Training Program Development: Sharing teaching experiences, updating and standardizing curricula in alignment with international standards. Notably, both parties discussed the proposal to implement articulation programs based on a 3+1 model.
- Academic Exchange and International Mobility: Strengthening connections between faculty members and learners through exchange programs (such as Erasmus+), thereby enabling lecturers/students to access advanced educational environments in Europe.
- MOU signing: providing a basis for collaborative activities between two schools over the next 5 years.

Following the discussions, the delegation toured CTUMP’s facilities, laboratories, and learning environment. The visitors expressed high appreciation for the university’s systematic investment and strategic development orientation.
