Prof. Nguyen Trung Kien – CTUMP’s Rector, presented a commemorative gift to Prof. Sebastiian Meijer – Vice Dean of the School of Engineering Science in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health, Royal Institute of Technology KTH, Sweden
On the side of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the meeting was also attended by (1) Dr. Jonas Willen, Senior Lecturer, Director of the Master of Science in Sports Science Program; (2) Ms. Charlotte Delin, Program Management Coordinator.
At the meeting, Prof. Sebastiian Meijer gave an overview of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, its training programs, research orientations at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems, and suggested some cooperatiive directions with Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

The two sides discussed and identified some potential cooperative directions in the fields of biomedical engineering and sports medicine, such as inviting guest lecturers; collaborating on joint research projects and participating in international cooperation programs such as ERASMUS+ and bilateral funding programs between the Nordic countries and Vietnam.
On this occasion, the delegation was guided by Prof. Sebastiian Meijer on a tour of the simulation labs and campus of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems, the KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Prof.Nguyen Trung Kien – Rector, on behalf of the delegation, expressed his deep appreciation for the thoughtful and enthusiastic welcome from Prof. Sebastiian Meijer and the experts of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. This is a valuable opportunity for Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy to access advanced technology in the fields of biomedical engineering and sports science. Both sides pledged to maintain and develop the cooperative relationship following the visit, aiming to promptly implement specific programs and projects that will contribute to improving the quality of training in Biomedical Engineering and, in the near future, the Biomedical Science in Physical Education and Sports training program.
