On March 20th, 2026, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy welcomed Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri, Consul, Head Chancery of the Indian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, to work and meet with Indian students studying at CTUMP.

Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri greeted Professor Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien – Rector of CTUMP before the working session.
On this working session, Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri discussed the issues related to studying and living arrangements, as well as provided information on the requirements for practicing medicine after graduation for Indian students. Leaders from relevant departments, including the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of Learner’s Affairs, the Department of Undergraduate Training, and the CTUMP Office, met with Indian students currently in their fourth year at the University, along with Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri.

During the meeting, Mr. Mahesh Chand Giri pledged that the Indian Consulate would closely cooperate with the school in managing and supporting students in the future.
