To enhance opportunities for academic exchange in an international environment for students of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP), the External Relations Section, CTUMP Office, and the Department of Learners’ Affairs have actively discussed and coordinated with Professors at Kanazawa University, Japan, to develop a student exchange program between the two universities.
Kanazawa University is one of the leading public universities in Japan, located in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Kanazawa University is renowned for its diverse fields of research and teaching, including Medical and Health Sciences, Natural Sciences and Engineering, Social Sciences and Humanities, and innovative and interdisciplinary programs.

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Tan - Vice Rector, along with members of the delegation, visited Kanazawa University in December 2025 for a working meeting and cooperative exchange.
Based on the initial results of the meeting, Kanazawa University has agreed to accept two medical students, Nguyen Pham Tuyet Nhi and Bui Thi Tram Anh, for an internship at the Faculty of Medicine, Kanazawa University, from July 23, 2026 to August 1, 2026. This is a good opportunity for them to enhance their knowledge in a modern learning environment, interact with and experience local culture, and simultaneously connect with professors and seek postgraduate scholarship opportunities in Japan.

Invitation Letter for Two Students from Kanazawa University, Japan
To help cover the travel expenses for the students, the University Office invited the Sai Gon Medicine and Pharmacy General Clinic System to sponsor round-trip airfares to Japan for two medical students.
Dr. Tran Phuoc Loc – General Director of Sai Gon Medicine and Pharmacy General Clinic System – agreed to sponsor and personally presented two round-trip air tickets to Japan, worth over 30 million VND, to students Nguyen Pham Tuyet Nhi and Bui Thi Tram Anh. This is a practical activity to implement the memorandum of cooperation that the Clinic System signed with Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

This event by Sai Gon Medicine and Pharmacy General Clinic System demonstrates the close relationship between the university and businesses, contributing to providing more opportunities for students to experience international academic and cultural exchange programs.
The Sai Gon Medicine and Pharmacy General Clinic System currently has two clinics in Cai Nuoc (Ca Mau) and Duyen Hai (formerly Tra Vinh), and will soon open another clinic in Ca Mau City. The clinic system regularly recruits doctors, pharmacists, nurses, technicians, etc., to meet its development and expansion needs.
Currently, the Sai Gon Medicine and Pharmacy General Clinic System is recruiting 5 Internal Medicine doctors, 2 Diagnostic Imaging doctors, 2 Obstetrics and Gynecology doctors, and 5 Diagnostic Imaging technicians.
