ICNC is a leading and prestigious international scientific conference in the field of pediatric neurology, held regularly under the auspices of the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA). This year's conference brought together thousands of experts, researchers, clinicians, and students from many countries around the world to update on the latest advances in research, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric neurological diseases. At the conference, lecturers and students from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy participated in 7 scientific research presentations, including 2 oral presentations and 5 poster presentations. The research focused on many topics of interest in pediatric neurology and child development, such as the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in screening and supporting the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder; building a model to predict the risk of recurrent febrile seizures; the value of electroencephalography (EEG) in predicting epilepsy; a model to predict the risk of severe neurological damage in children with hand, foot, and mouth disease; screening for neurodevelopmental disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other childhood mental health issues.

Notably, PhD candidate Vo Van Thi, MD, MSc, is one of 20 delegates from 9 countries worldwide awarded the ICNC 2026 Travel Bursary Award. This is an internationally competitive scholarship program aimed at supporting outstanding young researchers and doctors to attend the conference. This achievement not only recognizes the efforts in scientific research but also contributes to affirming the international integration capacity of the staff, trainees, and students of CTUMP. At the same time, he was also selected to participate in the Global Burden Fellowship program, with 2 months of study and research at Perth Children's Hospital (Australia), contributing to expanding international cooperation and integration of CTUMP.

Besides scientific presentations, the delegation had the opportunity to meet, exchange expertise, and establish cooperative relationships with many professors and leading experts in pediatric neurology from prestigious medical centers and universities around the world, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Mexico, and many other countries. Through the connections established at ICNC 2026, lecturers and students of CTUMP contributed to strengthening partnerships to implement international academic cooperation, while also seeking research funding and scholarships, opening up many new opportunities for lecturers and students of the University to participate in scientific presentations at international forums in the future.
