INTRODUCING THE “LEARN, EARN AND RETURN” TRAINING PROGRAM FROM HONG ANH MEDICAL CAMPUS AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY

The symposium was held with the presence of Mr. SAM Wood, Deputy Consul General, and Ms. HO Thi Kim Phuong, Head Manager of Education and Head of the Office of Commerce, honoured representatives from the British Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City. 

Standing for Hong Anh Medical Campus, Ms. JULIETTE Waterhouse, Chief Executive Officer of Real London Capital Company and Chairman of Hong Anh Medical Campus, Mrs. NGUYEN Thi Phuong Hong, Director of Real London Capital Company, and Mr. VUONG Tuan Anh, Specialty Director of Hong Anh Medical Campus were present. 

On the side of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. PhD. NGUYEN Van Lam, Vice Rector, representatives of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Technology, the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, the Office of Postgraduate Academic Affairs, the Office of Science and Technology – External Relations, the Office of Student Affairs, represented the University at the event. Participating in the symposium, there were also over 200 lecturers, senior students, resident students of CTUMP. 

At the symposium, participants were introduced to Hong Anh Medical Campus, and the medical internship program in the United Kingdom of the institute. The University of Westminster provided an online session illustrating the curriculum of the University.

The symposium was a great success with plenty of inquiries from the attendees, and satisfactory answers dispensed by representatives of present institutes. The symposium enabled undergraduate and postgraduate students of CTUMP to access overseas training programs. A promising future was opened in that students of CTUMP shall easily pursue not only academic but also professional opportunities in the United Kingdom and other foreign countries with highly developed healthcare systems.
