Signing of the Cooperation Agreement with the People’s Committee of Ca Mau Province
Over the years, the comprehensive cooperation agreements between Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the People’s Committees of An Giang and Ca Mau Provinces have established a legal framework for strengthening collaboration in health workforce training, promoting scientific research, transferring technology, and coordinating community service activities.
Representatives of the People’s Committees of the two provinces highly appreciated the University’s contributions over the past years and affirmed their commitment to continuing close collaboration with the University across all areas for the development of the localities in particular and the Mekong Delta region as a whole.

In this renewed signing, the parties reviewed and evaluated the outcomes of cooperation during the 2022–2025 period, while incorporating international relations cooperation into the Memorandum of Understanding for the 2026–2030 period, in addition to the traditional areas of collaboration.

Prof. Nguyen Trung Kien, Rector of CTUMP, on behalf of the University leadership, affirmed to the leaders of the two localities the University’s continued commitment to prioritizing health workforce training, particularly for primary healthcare; expanding cooperation in the field of marine medicine; and strengthening specialized research to promote the unique strengths of each locality.
