On August 26, 2026, Faculty of Basic Sciences at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy held a preliminary review session for student projects featuring startup ideas from the Biomedical Engineering program.
Project 1: CAMLIFE – Food wrap made from orange peel combined with chitosan and aloe vera gel

Project 2: ORAP – Acne patch made from hydrocolloid polymer combined with orange peel extract
Team: Le Minh Thuan, Le Huu Thuan, Cao Phi Hung, Hoang Bao Ngoc (Class KTYS K50)
Project 3: XAPHOBA – Natural soap made from tropical almond kernels
Team: Duong Tan Hung, Ta Thanh Truc, Tia Xuan Nhi, Ngo Quoc Vinh, To Thanh Tin (Class KTYS K50)
Project 4: CAREBAND – Smart wearable device
Team: Pham Duy Binh, Nguyen Gia Tinh, Nguyen Huu Thang (Class KTYS K50); Nguyen Bao Tin (Class YI1 K50); Nguyen Thi Muoi (Class YF2 K51)
The review session at the Faculty of Basic Sciences fostered a vibrant atmosphere where ideas were presented, challenged, and refined based on feedback from the expert panel. These projects not only demonstrated student creativity but also reflected the synergy between scientific research and practical application. Moving forward, the teams will continue to refine their models and test their products, while also seeking collaboration opportunities with businesses to bring their projects to market.
