Tại buổi làm việc, đại diện hai bên đã giới thiệu khái quát về lịch sử phát triển, cơ cấu tổ chức, thế mạnh đào tạo, nghiên cứu khoa học và định hướng phát triển của mỗi đơn vị. Trên cơ sở những điểm tương đồng về sứ mạng đào tạo nguồn nhân lực y tế và chăm sóc sức khỏe cộng đồng, hai bên đã trao đổi về các lĩnh vực hợp tác tiềm năng.
Nội dung thảo luận tập trung vào hợp tác nghiên cứu khoa học và triển khai các dự án chung; phối hợp tổ chức hội nghị, hội thảo và chương trình đào tạo; trao đổi giảng viên, nghiên cứu viên và sinh viên; đồng thời tăng cường chia sẻ kinh nghiệm chuyên môn giữa hai đơn vị. Đây là những định hướng có ý nghĩa thiết thực, góp phần nâng cao chất lượng đào tạo, năng lực nghiên cứu và mức độ hội nhập quốc tế của đội ngũ giảng viên, học viên và sinh viên.
Điểm nhấn của chương trình là nghi thức ký kết Biên bản ghi nhớ hợp tác giữa Khoa Y, Trường Đại học Y Dược Cần Thơ và Khoa Y, Đại học Chulalongkorn. Biên bản ghi nhớ tạo nền tảng chính thức để hai bên xây dựng và triển khai những hoạt động hợp tác cụ thể trong thời gian tới, phù hợp với thế mạnh và nhu cầu phát triển của mỗi đơn vị.

Sau lễ ký kết, đại diện hai bên đã trao quà lưu niệm, chụp ảnh chung và tham quan khuôn viên Trường cùng một số cơ sở thực hành. Hoạt động này giúp đoàn công tác hiểu thêm về môi trường đào tạo, cơ sở vật chất và hoạt động chuyên môn của Trường Đại học Y Dược Cần Thơ.
Chuyến thăm và làm việc của đoàn Khoa Y, Đại học Chulalongkorn là dấu mốc quan trọng trong quá trình phát triển quan hệ hợp tác giữa hai đơn vị. Việc ký kết Biên bản ghi nhớ không chỉ tăng cường mối quan hệ hữu nghị giữa hai trường mà còn tạo điều kiện thúc đẩy các chương trình hợp tác thực chất, lâu dài trong đào tạo, nghiên cứu khoa học và trao đổi học thuật.
Thông qua hoạt động này, Trường Đại học Y Dược Cần Thơ tiếp tục khẳng định định hướng chủ động mở rộng quan hệ đối ngoại, tăng cường hội nhập quốc tế và kết nối với các cơ sở đào tạo y khoa uy tín trong khu vực, qua đó góp phần nâng cao chất lượng đào tạo nguồn nhân lực y tế và phục vụ tốt hơn công tác chăm sóc sức khỏe nhân dân.

The delegation from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, was led by Assoc. Prof. Jiruth Sriratanaban, MD, MBA, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. The delegation also included Prof. Unnop Jaisamrarn, MD, MHS, Senior Executive Advisor for International Affairs; Prof. Naricha Chirakalwasan, MD, FAASM, FAPSR, Associate Dean for International Affairs; Prof. Nattiya Hirankarn, MD, PhD, Associate Dean for Graduate Affairs; and Prof. Taninee Sahakitrungruang, MD, MSc, Assistant Dean for Graduate Affairs, together with staff members responsible for international affairs and educational programs at the Faculty.
The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Tan, MD, PhD, Vice Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Director of CTUMP Hospital; Assoc. Prof. Le Van Minh, MD, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Assoc. Prof. Tran Thai Thanh Tam, MD, PhD, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; representatives of several departments within the Faculty; CTUMP lecturers who had previously studied at Chulalongkorn University; and representatives of relevant units.
During the working session, representatives of the two institutions provided an overview of their history, organizational structure, strengths in education and scientific research, and development orientations. Building on their shared mission of training healthcare professionals and improving community health, the two sides discussed several potential areas of cooperation.
The discussions focused on scientific research cooperation and the implementation of joint projects; the co-organization of conferences, seminars, and training programs; exchanges of lecturers, researchers, and students; and enhanced sharing of professional expertise between the two institutions. These directions are expected to contribute meaningfully to improving educational quality, strengthening research capacity, and advancing the international integration of lecturers, trainees, and students.
A key highlight of the program was the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Faculty of Medicine, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. The MoU provides an official framework for the two faculties to develop and implement specific collaborative activities in the coming years, aligned with their respective strengths and development priorities.

Following the signing ceremony, representatives of the two institutions exchanged commemorative gifts, took group photographs, and toured the University campus and several clinical training facilities. These activities provided the delegation with further insight into the educational environment, facilities, and professional activities of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
The visit by the delegation from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, marked an important milestone in the development of cooperation between the two institutions. The signing of the MoU not only strengthens the friendship between the two universities but also facilitates substantive and sustainable collaborative programs in education, scientific research, and academic exchange.
Through this event, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy reaffirmed its commitment to proactively expanding international relations, strengthening global integration, and building connections with prestigious medical education institutions in the region. These efforts will contribute to improving the quality of healthcare workforce training and enhancing healthcare services for the community.
