


On November 1, 2025, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) welcomed a delegation from the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation (CNCF) – United Kingdom. Both sides discussed a healthcare cooperation plan aimed at training and improving the professional capacity of physicians.

On November 7, 2025, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy is honored to host the ASEAN PharmNET Deans’ Summit Forum, an event that brings together leaders, experts, and scholars in pharmacy from 18 schools/faculties across nine countries in Southeast Asia.

On the morning of October 24, 2025, at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP organized a seminar to share information about the activities of the VinFuture Foundation and to host a working session with an expert delegation from Austria.



On August 9th, 2025, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam), in collaboration with Hong Anh Healthcare Group and the Modality Partnership (United Kingdom), successfully hosted the international conference “Primary Care and Population Health Fundamentals.” The event brought together over 150 delegates, including lecturers, students, and trainees, all sharing a strong interest in primary health care and family medicine.

On the morning of September 3rd, 2025, the delegation from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, led by Assoc. Prof. Tran Viet An, together with representatives from various faculties and departments, visited the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Malaya (Malaysia), to exchange experiences in education, scientific research, innovative entrepreneurship, and AUN-QA standard program development.

On September 1st, the delegation from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, led by Assoc. Prof. Tran Viet An, together with representatives from various faculties, departments, and hospitals, visited the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, to exchange, learn, and share experiences in pre-clinical skills training. At the same time, the delegation also discussed directions for professional collaboration with the National University Hospital (NUH).

The sixth Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals convened recently in Hanoi under the theme “Global Young Vietnamese Intellectuals Join Forces with the Nation to Enter a New Era.” This annual event, organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation, was co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Global Vietnamese Young Intellectuals Network, and VinUniversity. Recognized as a flagship gathering within Vietnam’s scientific and intellectual community, the forum’s opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Mr. Lai Xuan Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Government’s Party Committee; Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Federation.

To update recent advancements and reaffirm the significance of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in medical research and diagnostics, the Department of Pathophysiology – Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, in collaboration with Phu Sa Genomics JSC, successfully organized a scientific seminar titled “Applications of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in Medicine” on July 4, 2025, at Lecture Hall 6, Faculty of Medicine.

On August 6, 2025, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, in collaboration with Professor Susan Elizabeth Matthews from the University of Sheffield (the United Kingdom), held a specialized workshop entitled “Skills for developing question banks” for faculty members across the university.

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote international integration in medical education, on May 11, 2025, the Department of Orthpaedic Surgery – Faculty of Medicine, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy – officially completed the assessment and approval of the “Surgery II” textbook. This textbook is written entirely in English and specifically designed for international undergraduate students, including 4th-year Indian students currently enrolled in the General Medicine program at the university.
