In the light of celebrating 20 years of establishment of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and in order to improve scientific research activities and international cooperation, the Department of Internal Medicine - Faculty of Medicine organized a webinar with the theme "Update on diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease” from 13:30 to 17:00 on May 27, 2022.
In the atmosphere of celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and with the desire to guide and train lecturers and postgraduate students to use data processing and reference citation software. Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy organized a training course on "Data analysis, data processing, and reference management skills".
Carrying out the project "Supporting students to start-up to 2025" (1665 Project for short) dated October 30th, 2017 of the Prime Minister; to help students have enough agility and urge their desire to prove themselves by start-up ideas and help all officers and students of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) have a more intuitive perspective and enhance the knowledge about start-up ideas, CTUMP held a "Student’s Day with Start-up Ideas" for CTUMP’s students on June 12th, 2022.
Nowadays, foreign languages play a very important role in development of countries, societies and individual students. In order to increase students’ awareness, responsibility in equipping knowledge and skills for international integration, and create a playground for students to socialize, gather and exchange experiences to raise their foreign languages ability.
Pursuing a career in health industry has never been an easy path. Because of the specifics of the profession, students need to put effort in each lesson and be careful in each of their actions in practicing to become a good doctor, which is a long and arduous path of education that all health students have to go through. With purpose of supporting students on that journey, the school cooperated with Hoa Linh Co., Ltd. to organize a scholarship award ceremony.
With the consent of the Rector Board, the Office of Science – Technology and External Affairs, and the Director Board of the Faculty of Medicine, on June 4th, 2022, the Department of Physiology held a Department-level Scientific Seminar in the form of an oral report at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy, including 1 thematic report, 2 overview reports, and 1 research report.
On May 27th, 2022, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy held the conference of "Strategies to improve the quality of Can Tho Medical Journal". The conference was organized virtually. The speakers of the conference were members of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences Asia of Mahidol University (Thailand) and Can Tho Journal of Medicine and Pharmacy.
In order to promote creativity, innovation and scientific research, to improve the quality of undergraduate and graduate training in the Departments of the Faculty of Medicine, and also to create an atmosphere of exciting competition between the Departments to tap into the professional capacity of the faculty and the creativity of the students, the Faculty of Medicine held a competition to design a medical handbook with the theme of "Building your knowledge". The contest received the attention and participation of a large number of lecturers and students, with 35 entries.
To provide some initial biomedical techniques for the analysis of common bacteria in microbiology, facilitate access to endophytic bacteria in medicinal herbs, improve scientific research activities and international cooperation, the Medical Laboratory Department organized a faculty-level seminar on the topic of "Application of biomedical technology in endophytic bacteria of medicinal herbs" from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on 28/5/2022 at the Hall of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Technology.
On May 12th, 2022, the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) had joined an initial meeting for implementation of an international collaborative research project with Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines and the United States.
On May 21th, 2022, there was a meeting among Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Dong Thap Medical College, and Prey Veng Provincial Department of Health, Cambodia about cooperation in training.
On April 14th, 2022, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) met with the United States Center of Disease Control and Prevention (US-CDC) at the meeting room of the Faculty of Public Health, to discuss improvement to international cooperation and the professional knowledge and skills of the lecturers of the Faculty of Public Health and related departments.
On the morning of March 30, 2022, in Meeting room PH.01, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) solemnly held an exchange and cooperation meeting between Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Thu Dau Mot University, implementing content in the cooperation agreement between the two universities, creating the foundation for an extensive cooperation program in the field of medicine and pharmacy, training high-quality medical human resources for the cause of health care and protection of people.
With a view to exchange and cooperate comprehensively on training, science and technology, medical examination and treatment, on March 19th, 2022, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy had a working session, signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Hong Bang International University.
On January 17th, 2022, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) collaborated with Hong Anh Medical Campus (HAMC), organized an online seminar for cadres and students of CTUMP with interest in studying abroad, in order to introduce the recruitment, training program at the United Kingdom.
